Land Survey Technicians

A Land Survey Technician works under the supervision of a licensed Professional Land Surveyor. Primary daily activity includes working in the field and in the office. Working in the field includes: working as crew member on a survey field crew; performing GPS control surveys; performing topographic, location and boundary surveys; providing construction layout and staking at construction job sites; performing other duties as directed. Office work may include: researching and obtaining GIS data, deeds, and various other property data; preparation of pre-survey search maps and computing search points; preparation of preliminary maps from data collected from field surveys; computing points for construction layout and staking from engineering plans.
